Marshall does repeat his mistakes though!

Sun Dec 13, 2015 8:52 am

I'm not saying he is not a very good keeper

And I do feel he earns us many points through out the season

But
He does seem to repeat his mistakes
Take the sending off at Forrest for lashing out
He then gets sent off at Rotherham for the same mistake

It is my observation and belief he gets beaten too often from long range
Come on you stats geniuses check out the percentages and prove me wrong

Could it be a concentration problem or a sight problem ? I'm not sure as his kicking is also quite wayward ,does he have a problem seeing long range

I doubt very much that he gets beaten from distance any more than most goalkeepers.

The problem as I see it is that we are always standing off players who are in a position where they can shoot.

Once a player lets fly from distance there can be a number of problems for the goalie - swerve or dip on the ball, players unsighting them, deflections, the ball skidding off the surface like it did yesterday.

Our problem is that we never put the opposition under pressure until they reach the very edge of the box, thus giving them far too many opportunities to try their luck from distance.

If Marshy has a slight weakness it is that he is not the most dominant in his penalty area but that is just a small point when compared to the amount of times he has saved us and the points he has earned with his brilliance.

I don't blame Marshall for yesterday goal it was the players in front of him backing off.

Always need a scapegoat rather than accepting that the manager and team collectively are responsible.

the pair of you a fu..ing idiots who cant read a thread without seeing something that's not there
where have I put blame on anyone
I have made an observation of what I have seen
have I made up the fact that marshall has been sent off twice for the same stupid error of judgement
have I made up the fact that he does get beat too often from long range shots
have I blamed him for the loss of points ,no I fu..ing hav,nt
and on the whitts debate I will let the results and performances of his replacement do the talking for me
