The on-loan midfielder scorer for Leeds in their impressive win over Hull last weekend, but Slade says he is happy with his midfield options.

Cardiff City manager Russell Slade said he is glad Tom Adeyemi is getting rave reviews at Leeds , but insists the midfielder would not get anywhere near his Bluebirds side right now.

Adeyemi went out on season-long loan to Elland Road in the summer and currently, under Leeds boss Steve Evans, is having a successful time in the Yorkshire-clubs’s side.

He scored in the win over Hull last weekend and put in an all round good showing, but Slade said he is happy with his central midfield options right now and was not currently considering bringing the 24-year-old back to the Welsh capital.

“I think possibly we can call Tom back in January, but who do we put him in for now? Joe Ralls or Aron Gunnarsson?” said Slade.

“I think I have good resources in that centre-midfield. The likes of Ralls, Gunnarsson, Peter Whittingham and Stuart O’Keefe who is good back up for us.

Joe Ralls has impressed in the Cardiff City midfield
“I’m delighted Tom is getting some football, the frustration was he did not have many games under the last manager, he’d not had too many games under myself so it was important for his own sanity and development that he was able to go out and play some games and that is the best situation for him.

“Going forward whether Tom comes back and makes some impression here, that would be great. We’ll make that decision as and if we need it.”

Adeyemi was signed by Slade’s predecessor, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, back in August 2014 from Birmingham City for a fee believed to be in the region of £1m. Slade said whatever happened to the player in the future, he remained a valued part of the club.

The only one with any physique I can think of is Dichakoi.
But he is not in the mix either? Funny character that Slade..

I agree. Gunnarson and Ralls are looking to look an excellent pairing in midfield. I would also have Dikgachoi ahead of him

Leeds fans are even more fickle than ours.

He's getting 'rave reviews' this week, but getting call all sorts of crap 2-3 weeks ago.

I hope the boy does well as he's still our asset, buy wouldn't have him in front of Gunnar, Ralls, KD or Whitts

I find it interesting that none of you identify that our midfielders are different player types. It's shocking that Slade ignores it..

Totally correct. We're not exactly overflowing with midfield cover anyway. If nothing else he could be very useful back up if Gunnar or Ralls were injured or suspended. But I think, used in the correct set up, he could prove a useful alternative particularly in a 5 man midfield with Digkacoi Gunnar Ralls and Pilkington or Kennedy.

So 4 centre midfielders in a 5 midfield? A lopsided 5 man midfield I've read it all now

Ralls is the only one who could play on left out of those 6 and people have whinged all season about that
