Slade on getting crowds back

Russell Slade: The last couple of games have helped. We’ve scored and they have been good goals. Burnley was disappointing, but a good performance and Bolton was encouraging.

The hardcore of fans at Bolton were magnificent. The home fans have been too we’ve only lost two and we need fans behind us.

If Slade wants to see the fans flocking back he has to consistently get the following two things right....team selection and on field tactical awareness, something that Slade has struggled with in the past

if he wants the crowds back he needs to win games.

Literally just bumped into a mate of mine an hour ago that didn't renew this season. Him & his mate had been ST holders since the mid 90's and stopped due to the boring football etc.
Now he says he doesn't miss it and their intention of picking a few games to go to hasn't materialised.
Typical of thousands I think.

I would argue that if he got those two things I mentioned, right, he would in fact win more games, as to you're reference to balls, of course you would need a football to be able to play a match, thought that would have been self evident you silly boy

Disagree. Crowds will come back if the team are playing more attractive football, even if we don't win every game.

Results will akways get some plastics back if we are pushing for promotion or indeed if we get promoted. However, more genuine supporters will return if the football improves.

If we have better team selection and better tactics then the prospect of winning is going to improve anyway. So its not balls - I agree with Angelis.

It seems as though our fans are divided on everything these days  I agree with Paul on this one though... If we play much better yet still don't win many games, our fans will stay away.

They wouldn't be at the stadium to see how impressive we were playing but they would in their warm houses seeing Cardiff gaining 3 points and edging towards to top of the league.

No matter how good we are playing, if we win quite a few in a row and end up top of the league, that is when our "fans" will return. I just can't wait to hear their excuses :laughing6:

Quite a few of us are season tkt holders and I'm the only one going tomorrow, some people have just lost their mojo for it! Can't be arsed attitude! Just don't buy into what is being served up! It can seem like a chore lately just to go and watch! The whole day is flat! No pre game buzz, no excitement on the pitch! I can understand why so many stay away! Some just don't buy into Slade!

We have to win, and win well consecutively! We need to took like we have something about us! At the moment we don't! Win one, draw one, lose one, win another! Just a typical mid table looking side despite our current position! If we can get a good number of points throughout a busy December and maintain top 6. We have to bring in 1 or 2 top quality players in January allowing us to push on and give the fans a lift! We need the club to show a statement of intent because as the moment I don't buy into tan seriously backing Slade in January!

Milkyball was worse than Slades football and we were playing to full houses.

The differences are we were top of the table or in the premier league under Malky.
