It seems to happen with alarming regularity. It’s part of the game. You always feel disappointment because you know the disappointment they are feeling. I hope Monk will bounce back quickly and get back in the game.
Are managers given enough time?
There is a lack of time in a managers life at a club. You have a successful period, but it can’t always be rosy there is a time under pressure and results go down, but you have to stick by a manger then. You respect a club for that. maybe the average time is 12 months, it’s not a lot longer and that seems remarkably short.

It's good that we have stuck with Slade through sticky patches and not panicked into sacking.
