Time Person of the Year 2015

Angela Merkel - German chancellor since the 2005 election, leader of the CDU

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi - head of the Islamic State militant group

Donald Trump - business magnate seeking Republican nomination as US presidential candidate

-------------------------------------------------------

“In 2015, al-Baghdadi, 44, transformed the breakaway al-Qaeda group from a battlefield force operating in the chaos of Syria and Iraq into a transnational terrorist franchise killing civilians in more than a dozen countries around the world,” Time journalist Massimo Calabresi wrote in an article following the announcement. Orchestrating deadly attacks against far-flung targets — including sports stadiums, beach resorts and museums — ISIS has killed more than 1,200 civilian victims outside of Iraq and Syria this year while luring a steady stream of recruits to the so-called Islamic State.”

Read that above. The wording used is laughable. "Franchise" "Orchestrating" "transformed"

As if he was overseeing a Mcd's ffs!.

What purpose does giving this award serve?. Apart from promoting their power?. Who gains from it.

Desperate people at Time magazine I think, I hope they get whats coming to them.

Time Magazine has named German Chancellor Angela Merkel as its "Person of the Year".

The magazine cited her role in Europe's crises over migration and Greek debt.
Mrs Merkel had provided "steadfast moral leadership in a world where it is in short supply", editor Nancy Gibbs wrote.
Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was named runner-up and third place went to US presidential hopeful Donald Trump.

Eclectic list

Ms Gibbs wrote of Mrs Merkel: "For asking more of her country than most politicians would dare, for standing firm against tyranny as well as expedience and for providing steadfast moral leadership in a world where it is in short supply, Angela Merkel is 'Time's Person of the Year'."
Citing the refugee and Greek economic crises, along with the Paris terror attacks, Ms Gibbs said: "Each time Merkel stepped in. Germany would bail Greece out, on her strict terms. It would welcome refugees as casualties of radical Islamist savagery, not carriers of it.

And this is what Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi soldiers are doing still supported by the West and the U.S and Saudi Arabia.

David Cameron should be made to watch this but he'd refuse as they're not Muslim children.

The clip is gruesome.
