BARNSLEY EXTEND TONEY DEAL
Barnsley have confirmed that Newcastle striker Ivan Toney has extended his loan spell at Oakwell until January 9.
Toney told the club's website: “I’ve settled in very well over the past month and I’m really enjoying my time here, so I’m really pleased to extend my stay.
“The lads and the staff are a great bunch and made me feel welcome, so it was an easy decision to make when the opportunity came along to stay at Barnsley.
RONALDINHO ON MAN UTD AND BLACKBURN
Ronaldinho has confirmed he almost joined Manchester United before signing for Barcelona in 2003 - and that he did hold talks with Blackburn in 2011.
In an interview with FourFourTwo magazine, Ronaldinho said: "It almost happened with United. It was a matter of 48 hours, but Sandro Rosell had told me way before I got the offer: 'If I become Barca president, will you come?' I said yes.
"About Blackburn - we talked to them, but I wanted to come back home to Brazil."

MOURINHO DOESN’T FEAR SACK
Jose Mourinho refused to entertain the possibility that he may be sacked as Chelsea manager.
Speaking to reporters ahead of Chelsea's Champions League match against Porto, Mourinho said: “This is not a one-man responsibility.
“There are no ifs. Win, draw or lose. I am an optimistic guy. There are no ifs. I did lots of good things in this club for the owner to know the quality I have.
“And if the owner shows me that belief twice – one when he brought me back to the club, the second time when he gave me a new contract, for four years – I don’t think the owner is a person to change with the wind.”
DEBUCHY CONSIDERS ARSENAL EXIT
Mathieu Debuchy will hold talks with Arsene Wenger before January and admits he may have to leave Arsenal for first-team football.
“At the moment, I need game time,” Debuchy told RMC. “The past two games, I haven’t been in the [France] squad.
“Everything is clear. I need game time and that’s why I’ll have to discuss it with the coach soon. We will see what offers there are between now and [January] – if there are any.”
Asked whether he could choose another club in England, he said: "I love England and the league so yes, of course.”

The 19-year-old has made 20 appearances for the Serbian side this season, and has five caps for the national side's U21s.
