Swansea would be making a massive mistake if they choose to sack Garry Monk, says former Cardiff forward Craig Bellamy
Craig Bellamy has backed Garry Monk to turn things around at Swansea
Swansea's only win since August was against bottom side Aston Villa

Craig Bellamy believes Swansea would be making a 'massive mistake' if they decide to sack Garry Monk, who is coming under increasing pressure at the Liberty Stadium.
Monk admitted after his side's 3-0 home defeat by Leicester that he is worried about his future after a run of abysmal results that has seen the side slip from the Champions League places in August to 15th in the Premier League.
But former Cardiff and Wales striker Bellamy has backed Monk to turn the poor form around over the Christmas period, and claims club owner Huw Jenkins should think twice about making a managerial change after 15 games this term.
Craig Bellamy made his Monday Night Football debut as the first of a host of guests to replace Gary Neville
Garry Monk is under pressure at Swansea following a dismal run of form in the last couple of months
'If Swansea get rid of him I believe it would be a massive mistake and I’m quite strong on that,' said Bellamy, who was speaking as a guest on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football.
'Last year he was the best manager in their history. Yes, he’s a young manager and people talk about experience, but give him experience through a bad time.'
Bellamy impressed with his analysis of the weekend's games having replaced Gary Neville following the former Manchester United defender's appointment as the new coach of Valencia last week.
When reflecting on the demolition job Leicester handed out to Swansea on Saturday, the former Norwich, Coventry, Newcastle and Liverpool forward chose to look at the bigger picture.
Results just haven't been going according to plan for Monk since his side beat Manchester United in August
'As a club, you will benefit through this experience,' added Bellamy, who played for nine clubs during his career in total. 'I don’t feel Swansea will get relegated so stick with this man. He’s been with them a long time and seen the transitional period, and Swansea will be a better club with Monk involved.'
Monk made 226 appearances for the south Wales club during 10 years as a player before replacing Michael Laudrup as interim player-manager in February 2014, taking over on a permanent basis the following May.
The Swans have won only one of their last 11 Premier League games - against bottom-of-the-table Aston Villa in October - and sit just a point above the relegation zone.

I think Bellars is wrong, Monk is taking them down if the board don't sack him.
The form is abysmal, he plays Britton ahead of Cork, i'm no Swansea expert but that doesn't make any sense

Umm - yeah - why do you think Bellers wants them to keep Monk - he's a good Cardiff lad at heart

And for that reason he's doing a fantastic job.

Got to disagree with Bellars. Any manager who goes on this sort of run deserves to be sacked.
Although Klopp managed the impossible with Dortmund when they went through an extremely bad run. So who knows?
