Tipped by the Daily Mail to take Gary Neville's place as Sky Sports Live Football Pundit
EXCLUSIVE - IAN LADYMAN:
"Craig Bellamy is being lined up by Sky to step into Gary Neville's boots. Neville has signed a six-month contract to be the head coach of Valencia and stepped down from his Sky duties last week. The decision to replace Neville long-term has yet to be confirmed but Bellamy, 36, is thought to be among the leading contenders."Good luck to him if he gets it. Sky football's punditry will be an interesting watch!

I certainly don't think you'll see him 'sitting on the fence' with any of his comments, Chris.

Be great if he followed in Neville's footsteps.Learned a lot from playing, learn a lot from watching others, bring youngsters on whilst doing your coaching badges then into management abroad then back to your hometown club.He may well beat Neville on the last point as surely Gary will take over Man U at sometime.

That's probably what Sky are looking at within reason as that was Nevilles style and one of the reasons he was so popular.
Whatever people think of Bellamy he comes across as articulate & intelligent on TV.

Guest pundits from now until the end of the season, whoever does best gets the regular slot I imagine. Sky have always done it this way, give people a chance and if they fail to impress they are out. BBC and BT just hand out contacts to people who turn out to be no good at all.
Souness will forever be my favourite but Carragher and Neville were top class and I could listen to them chat football for hours. Bellamy is always good when he makes an appearance so I imagine he will get an opportunity to impress sky again.

Can't see anyone replacing Neville. The show was a perfect fit for them both to be on. If someone had to replace him, I'd chose Paul Scholes to go on there so that United-Liverpool rivalry can continue.
Definitely feel a different guest every week will be the best option though...

I can barely understand a thing that comes out of Carraghers mouth.

Neville has only got the Valencia job until end of season depending how well he does, but will be interesting Souness v Bellamy
but I am sure they have made up by now ?

I might be wrong, but I think Bellamy mentions in his book that they made up. I think Bellamy regretted his actions in regards to Souness at Newcastle, don't think he feels any regret towards Shearer though.
