CARDIFF CITY TEAM :
Marshall, Peltier, Malone, Morrison, Connolly, Ralls, Gunnarsson, Pilkington, Noone, Watt, Jones.
Subs : Moore, Manga, Fabio, Whittingham, O'Keefe, Ameobi, Macheda
Slade says that Lee Peltier, replaced early on by Fabio in last weekend's win at the Macron Stadium , will be fine to face the Owls though.
Bruno Manga could make his first league start of the season against Sheffield Wednesday with Matt Connolly battling to overcome a back problem.
Russell Slade on injuries - Connolly a doubt
Russell Slade says Matt Connolly is a doubt to play against Sheffield Wednesday:
Peltier is okay. He took a bang which shut his eye. He will be fine, has trained and is fit for Sheffield Wednesday. Connolly came off with a back problem. He’s a worry. Other than that, we are okay.
Team News
Cardiff City
Cardiff will have to wait on full-back Lee Peltier who picked up an injury to his eye at Bolton last weekend while Fabio Da Silva would be a ready replacement if the former Huddersfield captain does miss out.
Peter Whittingham was left out of the Cardiff starting line-up in the last outing and he is expected to miss out again given it did the trick last time out. Some supporters have called for Bruno Ecuele-Manga to be brought back in with Cardiff conceding four in their last two games but that change is unlikely. Idriss Saadi remains out until the new year but elsewhere Cardiff are in good shape in terms of players fitness.
Tony Watt is expected to start alongside Kenwyne Jones up front after the Charlton loanee scored his first goal last week and Jones helped himself to two assists.
Russell Slade has a strong squad to pick from
Sheffield Wednesday
Tom Lees will miss out with a hamstring injury picked up against Stoke City two weeks ago and Wednesday will also be without Michael Turner and Vincent Sasso who’s absence continues. Jack Hunt remains a doubt after missing the visit of Derby County last weekend.
Owls captain Glenn Loovens will be a name all too familiar to Cardiff fans with the Dutchman serving tow spells at the Welsh capital. The solid centre-back first joined Cardiff on loan from Feyenoord from 2005/06 before signing permanently and staying at the club from 2006 to 2008 when he signed for Scottish giants Celtic for 2.1 Million.
Latest NewsSheffield Wednesday missed out on a chance of overtaking City as they held third placed Derby County to a 0-0 draw.
Cardiff are joint on points with Wednesday, only ahead on goal difference.

Sheffield Wednesday Football Club is a football club in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England who play in the Championship, the second tier of the English leagues. Sheffield Wednesday are one of the oldest professional clubs in the world and the third oldest in the English league.
The Wednesday, as they were known until 1929, were founding members of The Football Alliance in 1889 and its first champions. They joined The Football League three years later and were also one of the founding members of the Premier League in 1992. Since joining the Football League in 1892, the club has spent most of its history in the top flight of English football but have not played at this level since being relegated in 2000. The Owls have historically been one of England's more successful clubs, and have won four League titles, three FA Cups and one League Cup. Wednesday have also competed at European level, most notably in the UEFA Cup in 1992–93.
Since 1899, Sheffield Wednesday have played home matches at Hillsborough Stadium in the north-western suburb of Owlerton, hence their nickname The Owls. Hillsborough is currently an all-seater ground with a capacity of 39,732.
