Has achieved so far more than most of us ever thought he would, including myself, Slade has got Cardiff City in the Top 6 of the Championship

Many don't like his football, many don't believe in his tactics/formations etc,many don't believe in Slade including myself, but Slade keeps proving many of us wrong by grinding out results and climbing the League Table with NO real money.

At this current moment we are in the Top 6 which We All wanted before the Season started, so in My Strong Opinion, there are NO more excuses in not turning up at home to Sheffield Wednesday next Saturday 3pm, tickets are not that expsensive and sometimes have proved Cheaper than having a Season ticket.


Also May I Remind you We Also Play in BLUE and the Best home kit for many a year, in which many of you said you would Return if We went back to BLUE

Shelf Wed are bringing at least 1,500, So there is No reason for the crowd to be at least 18,000, You were there when we were in the Premier League

Mike, Spot on, if we have a Big FACUP draw,they will be begging for tickets once again.

I agree, Slade has to now keep us in the Top 6, to get the crowds to turn up regular,but at least this is a start

Totally agree with this post, also is Slade still learning because he finally dropped whitts, he's brought in a direct striker which we were crying out for. The football was decent against Burnley, plenty of positives. It's a fine line but the next 3 matches will determine if we are genuine contenders or not. Saturday is also the draw for the euros.

If we can manage a top 6 finish we have as good a chance as any, some will scoff at that but like it or not we can prove difficult to break down if we set up that way. His tactics haven't been great and we want decent football, but if he gets us in that top 6 we will then be wishing for shut the door difficult to beat tactics.

Some of complaints about Slade have been valid at times.

However he had to try out players and give them a fair chance but eventually adapted when that failed and dropped Whitts from central midfield and give Joe Ralls his Spurs. His transfer dealings to date have at best been chequered but hopefully Watt will prove to be the first great success.

My pre-season prediction was promotion via the play-offs. Admittedly there was a fair bit of heart ruling the head with that one! But that doesn't mean we should hope Slade fails just because it means we can get rid.

So what if he is only earning £125000pa (Obviously I use the term 'only' in a football market sense), as we paid Dave Jones 8 times that for years to get us to the same League position!

What is going on at the moment is an amazing story. Fans have reversed the rebrand and a club which is technically bankrupt is in with a real chance of pulling off promotion to the Premier League in a season when our greatest rivals are on the verge of coming down the other way.

Really? You predicted around 28,000 against Bristol.

I think the floating fans will trickle back if our football becomes more attractive and we are winning more.
I also think there are so many who can't relate to Slade for whatever their reasons.

The games pre Christmas are normally the lowest attended so don't expect them to be much higher.Agree that we need better support,but the negative football played the past few years has turned people away only success will bring them back.
Let us hope that we play more attacking football over the next few games as it gives us more chance of success which brings more fans back.

If Slade got sacked at any time in the near futur, after keeping City well away from relegation and even getting us in the top 6 Slade would get a job again fast.

Very good post! Fans forever changing opinions on Slade. Yes we are currently 6th. But the quality of football over the course of the season hasn't been good enough! We will not end up in the top 6 by the end of the season.
