A man has reportedly launched a horrific attack with a machete in a London train station.
Witnesses say the man screamed ‘this is for Syria’ before slashing another man’s throat in Leytonstone train station in east London.
A large splash of blood could be seen on the floor near the ticket barriers of the station, before police quickly descended on the scene and tasered the suspect.
Police have confirmed they are treating the incident as a ‘terrorist attack’.
Graphic photos of video were uploaded to Twitter showing police trying to subdue the man as bloody footprints can be seen all around the station.
Police say one man suffered ‘serious injuries’ in the attack.
Witnesses said two other member of the public were also injured, however police have not confirmed this.

All good and well but they missed with their first couple of shots with the taser, what if that was the first shots of a gun they missed with? Where would those bullets have gone?

Agree if he had a bomb the people would be buggered in the tube station ,time for armed police at public places

what I'm saying is a tazor doesn't always put them down ,a shot to the head would maybe give the police enough time to stop a bombpolo wrote:wez1927 wrote:Forever Blue wrote:wez1927 wrote:If you listen to all the loonie lefties he is not a terrorist hmmmmmm

Wez it's impossible to police the tube you can't frisk everyone who uses it.
These suicide bombers have no regard for their own lives so very difficult to combat.

We haven't got the resources Wes there's hundreds of tube stations across London.
I'm sure the main ones like Picadilly Circus, Oxford Circus.etc are well manned but Leytonstone is one of the last stops on the central line so if they can strike there they will strike anywhere.
My 11yo daughter is due up there next week for a 2 day school trip. Won't stop her going like some parents have as you can't live your life in fear but I will be on pins for those 2 days.

A bit of London geo education for you, Leytonstone is what is termed greater London, 25 mins from centre, no where near end of line, there's another 8 stops until the end of the line in Essex,This area is heavily multi cultural, I would say 40% ethnic, your going to get extremists/ nutters in all communities, so it's no surprise that this particular dick chose to attack someone in Leytonstone, there's also plenty of disenfranchised lefties types who sell the socialist worker around here and also a fair amount of City bankers, as Canary Wharf and the City are 15 minutes away, so a complete cauldron of cultures, which makes theses types of occurrences more likely
