The lack of respect for the Old Guard on here

Sat Dec 05, 2015 11:28 pm

This is a major problem on this forum. The youth on here have gotten out of hand and seem to care more about their appearance and consoles than socialising with women and respecting the old guard, and listening to their amazing world war 2 stories whilst sipping on a pint in Spoons.

Posts like this are truly disturbing: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=165809&start=30#p1746132

I think the poster who made such a remark against a veteran like Bluebird since 1948 should be banned. This sort of behaviour should not be condoned at all. First the youth make the elderly stand on public transport, then they push passed them in the street, they refuse to help them home with their shopping and now they are abusing them on public forums.

It's been removed now, but City Slicker called me a big mouthed c**t.

I'm used to it now James, I just have to learn to live with the daily abuse and disrespect thrown at me every day. Many on here can't handle the truth and lower themselves to abuse.

I don't want to carry this on and would rather leave it there but what do you exoect when you tell people to f**k off for expressing their opinions? I'd rather we sort of shake hands on this abd move on and agree to disagree without resorting to abuse fair enough?

This is correct.
If people don't agree with this guy ... out comes the personal abuse.

Pathetic post trying to start a row again.

City Slicker was getting more than he gave. I do however respect Bluebird since 1948 he normally talks sense.

Board's gone back to shite though. One reason for that multiple arguments in multiple threads with same poster.

Definition of old guard is

the original or long-standing members of a group, regarded as unwilling to accept change or new ideas.

Spot on really.

I think this forum needs more love among it's members.

We need a loveheart smiley, I wonder if that's what's coming up soon. :old: :old:
