We are only in the top 6 now because other sides have been rubbish.

Apply our form up to date to the entire season, and we are projected 71 points. Over the last 5 seasons, 71 points has only been enough to get in the playoffs once, funnily enough, in the season we went up as Champions.

The facts don't lie and all is there to see. Funnily enough, when Dave Jones just missed out on playoffs the same people loving Slade were the first to criticise Jones and claim it wasn't good enough. It was a long slow winding witch hunt based on the frustration of missing out that led to Jones going in the end. Now, with Slade, this sort of form is suddenly acceptable.

The mindset of the Cardiff fan has changed to one that is willing to accept average, which is exactly what the club will be under Slade, and when you do that then you've lost everything. Absolute farce. I'd much rather Jones back. At least we'd just miss out whilst playing decent football.

Instead of posting the only thing you put in to this board saddles these days why now enlighten us your dream Cardiff city, manager, owner and where should we be in the league or maybe that's asking to much or better still unrealistic

Jones was the same level of mediocrity as Slade yet people called for his head. He also built his side whilst saving us £20m over numerous seasons, yet people called for his head. With Slade, they're lapping it up. Delusions of grandeur quite frankly. How can you applaud Slade for things you criticised Jones for? Also, not only that, but the major difference between them both was that at least Jones had us playing nice football, even if our defence was useless at times and we buckled under pressure late on in games.

I'm not even expecting us to make the playoffs barnet that's just it. I'm not a dreamer mid table I said before a ball was kicked others said bottom half before a ball was kicked yet are slade out followers on here now yet we are 6th with nothing to spend people are living on another planet these days. if we make the playoffs all good if we don't I'm not going to cry about it as as a fan inknow the club will be cost cutting more so I generally expect less

No. What I'm saying is statistical analysis of data from previous seasons can often indicate how the current season is going to shape out. Nobody is saying its gospel but this acceptance of pure mediocrity needs to stop, because we are Cardiff City FC, not Rochdale. If you want mediocrity and a small town club then there is always Newport. The acceptance of mediocrity is also what is hurting Swansea right now, because no longer do they play incredible football with an almost arrogant air of self believe, but they look hurt and fragile at times under Monk. If you do not believe you are the best then you will never be the best. This is why we went up under Malky because he united everyone to believe we WERE the best and everyone believed and battled in the name of that belief until the death, even if it meant getting battered and bruised to defend a 1-0.

It's a results business is it not. Although slade wouldn't have been my choice either but that's what it is rite now, he's here to cost cut while doing as he's told after all that's how we ended up with slade is it not. Hes doing a better job than I expected to be honest I said mid table at best. Some said bottom half and relegation yet still want him gone.

I'm sure these days modern fans would love us to have a named manager playing top football and losing while being in bottom four and they wouldn't moan honest

Angelis you was a Jones, malky, ole hater before slade get real for f**k sake you've never liked anything about any of our managers. Slades not my choice either but he's our manager so that's how it is. I've never known fans to turn on there own team and manager so much than our own. You would think we was bottom of the league on here

Failure is objective to some degree based on objectives and subjective to another degree based on expectations. For those that believe this side can compete at the top then Slade is failing to meet those expectations. For others he's meeting expectations and for others he's exceeding them. Now in terms of actual objectives, well they're set by the directors of the board, and more importantly Tan, who most likely has high expectations even with the cost cutting. I think Slade will be gone in the summer, if not before that. When you have a clown at the helm then the circus act is sure to continue, which is why I want Tan gone more than Slade. Slade is merely a juggling performer in Tan's complete circus.
