A forum for all things Cardiff City

I`m obsessed with the 1920s Cardiff city teams and especially the 1927 cup winning team. Obviously players like Hughie Ferguson and Len Davies died young but did anyone on here ever meet the likes of Earnie Curtis and Fred Keenor? If so did you appreciate it at the time and any stories? .... That side and those players were a team to be very proud of and you could write a book about every one of them.

I met Earnie Curtis, who was the youngest player for the City that day at Wembley. He was a member of the Guest Keens' bowls team alongside my Uncle Albert. He was a lovely, quiet unassuming man, I believe he had been a prisoner of war under the Japanese.
