Violence marred biggest match in Sporting Khalsa's history
Police are appealing for information following disorder during a FA Cup qualifying fixture between non-league football teams, Sporting Khalsa and FC United of Manchester in October.
Police have launched an appeal to trace supporters involved in violent scenes that tarnished the biggest game in a football team’s history.
Serious trouble blackened the occasion when Willenhall-based Sporting Khalsa took on visitors FC United of Manchester in an FA Cup qualifying fixture on October 24 at the club’s Aspray Arena.
Violence marred the game before and after the kick-off when gangs of hooded thugs fought and threw flares on to the pitch.
Water and a bin was also thrown at away supporters.
West Midlands Police has issued images of people it wants to talk to in connection with the trouble.
Witnesses or anyone with information should call Sgt Mick Wilkinson on 101 or Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555 111.
