Debt to equity, latest

Thu Dec 03, 2015 10:35 pm

with the new accounts just around the corner anyone know what VT,s position is on turning the debt we owe him into equity?
I know he's dragged his feet on this but surely it should happen soon.

Do people really think this is going to happen after we didn't accept the rebrand and we turned back to blue?

Yea two years after the deal which was for a debt free club and promise after promise of debt to equity, no training ground as promised. Then we had when Sam's paid it will be sorted , then when the malky situation was sorted. You can not deny these things didn't happen. None of this had going back blue involved back then so no idea why people say its ok let's forget it because we are blue again. Yet we have three times the debt before the rebrand come about so what did we gain. Nothing.

Debt to equity was not linked to the rebrand it first came up about a year after. The debt to equity would have been sorted if we had been successful and remained a premiership club. The reason for that is that had we continued to be successful there wouldn't have been protests, we would still be in red and therefore I think Tan would have converted debt to equity.

Debt to Equity was part of the deal from the off.

Anyway I'm not too bothered if he does or not. One way or the other he is going to have to clear the debt when he leaves be it debt to equity or just save himself time and wipe it clean.

Agreed Ian. What I don't get is why people say it was never part of any deal, for example maccydee then says it was a year in to the rebrand but it does not matter because it's all been reversed. It mattered at the time as that's all most fans wanted out of the red the red tripe nobody wanted to start with.

No it wasn't and I posted many articles that proved this in another pointless debate about this subject. You are right though Ian as the debt is to him he will have to sort it somehow so I don't get what you are all flapping your chops and typing fingers about.
