Cardiff City star Ben Turner underwent major ankle surgery
Cardiff City defender Ben Turner has revealed the horrific extent of his injury crisis, but insists now he is at last over his nightmare.
The centre-half has been sent on loan to former club Coventry as he looks to prove he is final over the ankle problem that has derailed his career of late.
The 27-year-old has not featured at all for Cardiff this season after having surgery on the ankle injury, but he has now played three times for the Sky Blues including the full 90 minutes in draws with Bradford and Doncaster.
He missed the bulk of last season after first suffering an ankle injury against Reading in January.
And Turner, who is seeking a new deal at Cardiff with his up next summer, said he is determined now to put his injury woes behind him.
“I am feeling good. I got my right ankle reconstruction done and I am ready to rumble again,” said Turner.
“It’s great to come through two full games after almost an hour in the first one. The higher up you go in football the easier it can be physically.
“The lower you play the more running you have to do because the little bits of quality are not quite so good, but I feel like I’m playing in physically tough games and I feel all right," he told the Coventry Telegraph

That must have been painful.
After I ripped my ankle ligaments I was counting the minutes to the next painkiller.
Even took a day off work which is very rare
Sounds like his was even worse.

Good news for the lad, although I can't see a new deal unless something amazing happens between now and the end of the season.
