DAVID MARSHALL.

Brilliant player for us,but shouldn't be captain of this team.If we had a midfield leader on the pitch Saturday, wearing the armband we wouldn't have surrendered that lead.We need a strong voice in the middle of the park, making our keeper captain is not good! :bluebird: :bluebird:

He should be club captain if anything at all,but not team captain.

Burnley's captain was also in goal on Saturday but he somehow managed to motivate his players to score two goals in the last 8 minutes of the game!

Captains often do not have much influence beyond tossing the coin and choosing ends nowadays.

Marshall may not be a shouter but he certainly leads by example.

It's the manager's job to make sure the players are doing their jobs on the pitch.

I don't really know why Marshall is captain because he is quiet all game. You usually hear keepers screaming to players but you never hear Marshall... I can't remember if it was Malky, Ole or Slade who said that he is very quiet on the pitch but off the pitch he is very vocal?

I've said it since Hudson left and I'll say it again - Aron Gunnarsson should be our captain :ayatollah:

To be fair, Gunnars is like a captain when he plays. Now he has regained his form and make him captain for definite.

Joe Ralls...

Only Ralls, Peltier, Barton and one other Burnley player had short sleeves without the thermal tops underneath on Saturday. Thats a good duo to pick from :old:
