He's happy with Slade and Tan but then he never watches the games apparently.
Each to their own.

It's down to Slades piss poor management, yes we played better but when Burnley scored and he takes Jones off for another striker instead of putting a defender on to shut up shop, Burnley were well up for it in the last quarter of the game (when slade changed the team, I can understand Watt going off, but Gunnarsson for okeefe? Then Jones for Macheda? Wtf was slade thinkingmaccydee wrote:OriginalGrangeEndBlue wrote:NIBluebird wrote:So you are happy with Slade ?

Performance yesterday was good was it not? The last 5 minutes cost us the 3 points we deserved.
The criticism he receives is unjust and are things that he cannot and does not have any impact on and a change in manager wouldn't change anything in my opinion.
Atmosphere has been poor for years, ironically apart from the two and a half seasons we were playing in red.

If he had left Jones on and we didn't win someone would have moaned that he was knackered and should have come off and leaving him on cost us the win.
If he had brought the only midfielder left on the bench (Kennedy) for a striker and put Whitts in the middle and we didn't win people would have moaned that Whitts was in the middle and this cost us the win. Or that sitting back with 5 in midfield encouraged Burnley to push on and one striker meant the ball wasn't getting held up in attack.
Similarly if he brought Manga on for a striker and we didn't win then someone would have moaned that too many defenders cost us the win. Again losing a striker would mean we couldn't hold the ball up.
If we had pushed forward and conceded someone would have moaned that this cost us the win.
Either way he would have got stick from our moaning fans. He's damned if he does damned if he doesn't.

I'm not referring to anyone in particular I'm referring to the date and league position. That was 16th and less points and further from play offs than now.
