Derby and Burnley

Sat Nov 28, 2015 7:30 pm

The general feeling before these two games was that we would see how near we were to being genuine promotion challengers after playing two of the better teams in this division.

Well, one point out of the six available must surely be enough evidence to show that we are what we are - a mid table team who are now in reality looking at a 6th place finish as the very best that can possibly be acheived this season.

When will our season effectively be over?

By the end of February would be my guess unless by some miracle Tan changes the whole philosophy of the club, get's rid of Slade and brings in a proper manager.

We all know that he won't do that however - he's just no interested any more.

So when Slade's contract runs out in the summer what will Tan do then?

Probably take over himself.

As long as we are not in danger of relegation he'll give Slade a new contract, if for no ther reason than to stick his middle finger up to the fans.

I really think he'll give Slade a new contract I'm afraid.

I can't see it at the moment.

no- i can't see it. The middle finger would have been staying red, but economics will state otherwise.

Bellers in to get the buzz back when season tickets are announced.

Can't really say making Bellers the manager next season gives me confidence but I certainly think it will do tickets sales good and that is all this owner is bothered about.

I just get the feeling Bellers as manager will be a flop, it will be all over for him before it starts like, and we as a club will be in a bigger mess but Tan and gang will be happy as they will have their money. So much for modern football.

I think it will depend on the take up season tickets, as is if RS stays maybe 5000 will renew.

New Manager and one with a bit if charisma could go back up considerably.

Just think Tan will see how the season pans out :sladeout:

Did you expect slade to get us promoted.

After taking over the complete circus left by solksjaer.

Everyone gives it the big one at the start of seasons. I can remember people saying before the prem season that theyll enjoy the season if we scrape the occasional win and stay up - 2 months in, people booing the team. And we werent in the bottom three.

Fact is this club have not been successful in the past. Why do people think we should be higher than where we are?.

Would you have taken where we are now before the seasons start?. I was worried of relegation myself.

Theres is more chance of a playoff spot now than going down.

That is what we've always been - a team that hopes to grab a playoff spot and put a run together in the playoffs. The same as the majority of the teams in this league.
