MINUTES APPLAUSE TODAY: CELSA STEELWORKS INCIDENT

Sat Nov 28, 2015 11:57 am

Fellow Bluebirds, there will be a minutes applause today for my second cousin Peter O Brien and Mark Sim who sadly lost there lives in Celsa Steelworks incident a few weeks ago, Peter 51. was local boy from Roath , living in Llanishen with wife Marie and 6 Kids. One of four was brought up a rugby fan and player at St Peters RFC and a bowls player. His wife Marie and kids were however big city fans seen in family stand at Ninian and CCS wherever they could . Very sad time for devastated close local family . Well done to City , Burnley and FL for granting this show of respect for local families and community! Thanks to All!

This was a truly sad event and my heart goes out to both men's families

A minute's applause for two local men 'simply'doing their jobs' is well warranted and I commend the club for allowing it to occur
