We have quite a good home record, so no reason why we can't keep it going with a win at home to Burnley who are nothing special :thumbright: :ayatollah:

The reality is Burnley are one of the 3 best sides in the division Annis, they could go top if they win today.
They have a£9m striker leading their line.
A win would be an excellent result , but a draw would be OK as well.

WE are the ones that are nothing special and will need every player putting 100%, plus a supportive and patient crowd, plus a bit of luck to get anything today.

I'm looking forward to it.

Don't forget lads, the new flags are up today, so let's all make an effort to help the atmosphere and encourage OUR TEAM

Tim, They've drawn 6 so that tells me we can at least get a draw, We can't keep making out every club is better than us, my honest opinion Derby will win the Championship prob followed by Boro, rem we have Kenwyne Jones over £37,500 a week striker.

Also this Championship is all over the place, most weeks anyone can beat anyone in this division

Tim I'm trying to be positive :thumbright: :ayatollah:

As much as I agree Annis that Burnley are not world beaters but my concern is that we are going backwards.

After a promising start to the campaign, especially with improved performances over what we saw last season, sadly we have slipped back into the sort of displays that we witnessed last season regularly.

I think Burnley will beat us this afternoon and that 3 point gap to the last play off place will become bigger and we won't recover from it or get that near to it again this season.

I agree Slade has taken us backwards, but Carl he does seem to get results out of the blue and has given us quite a few good home performances and at the end of the day we do still have quite a good squad :ayatollah:

Its a decent home record 10 points for the lasy 12 at home and 5 of are next 8 are at home. We could be in a decent position come January, have to improve away Bolton is a chance to start that

Slade needs to be winning his home games Annis without a doubt because our away form is awful.

Will see a City goal today from open play ?

We have to win to stay in touching distance with the play offs.

Anything is possible.

Personally I think we have to get playoffs out of our heads, in reality we are playing like a mid table team.

Need to ride the storm until Slade goes , hopefully at end of season.

If Tan wanted playoffs he would of invested.

Back to today's game if we achieve a draw it'll be a good result.

Since when did we play Derby at home this season?

However Annis I believe this Burnley side are a lot better than Hull.

We will do well to come away with anything from this game.

boro and reading were both above us in the table when they came to us and we beat them so why can't we beat them also if we did win and results go our way we could be in a play off place we are supporters so let's just get behind the team

Re: " Cardiff City at home today "

I watched Burnley v Brighton last week and thought both teams were organised and resilient but nothing special going forward even with the £9m striker.

I believe we are as organised as any team in this division and our problem is simple, we haven't got a regular goalscorer, but with Kenwynne Jones back and a new striker signed who knows.

Biggest problem today is the referee Darren Drysdale as we have not won any of the 6 previous games he has been in charge, 5 defeats and 1 draw. But what the hell we have even won at home this season with Keith Stroud in charge ;)

I have a feeling the new striker may well win us the game today. 1-0 to the city.

Annis, it's good that you are positive, but I'm just being realistic.
It's not the case that ALL the championship teams are better than us, but 3 are- Derby, Hull and today's opposition Burnley.
Brighton and Boro are just behind at the moment IMHO.
In fact I forecast we'd beat Reading , who were 7th and we did.

Also, Jones might be on a big salary, but he isn't anywhere near the level of Gray this season
If he was he wouldn't still be here

I think we may get a point today, and if we can sneak a goal and if Marshall is in top form, who knows. Anything is possible in this division.

While Slade has taken us backwards from the start of the season (which would mean admitting he had us playing well) if you go back to when he took us over he hasn't taken us backwards at all. Before our first game under Slade (Forest home 18 October that we won) we were 16th in the table and 6 points off the playoffs after 12 games. Now we are 3 off the playoffs and Slade has overseen a gutting of the squad.

This is a fact.

Quite right. Hull are the best team we have seen at the CCS this season and if the luck and a few penalty shouts had gone our way, we could easily have got something from that game.It was actually one of our best footballing performances too. Burnley are of a similar standard and we have no need to fear them. We are only a player or two short of being as good as the teams above us. Keep the faith people, things are not as bad as people are making out. :ayatollah:

Burnley are a "Malky-like' side (managerial links ;) ) and will be tough to beat, but this is Cardiff City FC...lose to the bottom clubs yet likely to beat those at the top!

A City trait for as long as I can remember! ;)

If Kenwynne is not put off by the weather I think we could cause them some problems. Hope the new guy starts in place of Joe Mason, I think we need a bit of a shake up in attack.
