A forum for all things Cardiff City

Cardiff City are in the play-off hunt this season after a disappointing campaign last year and are just three points off the top six.
Russell Slade’s men has started the season fairly well and they face a Burnley side at the top end of the table on Saturday, who have drawn their last two games.
Slade will be looking at the January window as a chance to clear some deadwood, and to add a few signings that could make the difference between the play-offs or missing out.
Cardiff have some big earners at the club and a fairly big squad so it’s likely it will have to be trimmed for new signings to arrive.
Here are FIVE realistic January signings Cardiff fans would be delighted with…….
Gary Gardner
The Aston Villa midfielder has yet to be given a chance at Villa Park this season, and had a successful Championship spell at Nottingham Forest in the second half of last season.
Gardner is unlikely to play again under new manager Remi Garde and another loan spell looks likely.
The midfielder would be a good addition Cardiff’s midfield and would offer competition for others in that area.
Patrick Bamford
played many minutes this season for high-flying Crystal Palace, and looks set to return to Chelsea in January.
The striker had a fantastic season last year, winning player of the season after 19 goals for Middlesbrough in their campaign.
He would be a good signing for any Championship side chasing promotion, as he has proved he is more than good enough at this level.
Alex Pritchard
and was one of the best players in the Championship last season, in a loan spell with Brentford.
The Spurs man hasn’t featured for his parent club this season, and another move to the Championship may be likely.
Cardiff may look to add extra quality to their wide areas to provide service for the likes of Kenwyne Jones.
Andy King
King has been a long servant for the Foxes but this season has struggled to break into the side, which is flying high at the top of the Premier League.
The midfielder has been a victim of Leicester’s fantastic season and doesnt look like breaking back into the side.
He has lots of Championship experience after winning the league with Leicester, and he may be made available for loan by Claudio Ranieri who hasn’t taken to the Welsh International since joining in the summer.
Paddy McNair
The Manchester United defender has featured for Louis van Gaal on a number of occasions after working his way into the first team set up.
However, he is behind the likes of Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind in the pecking order, so may be available for a loan move in January.
McNair would be a great signing for any Championship side, he is composed on the ball and is a good all-round defender.

Pritchard would be amazing. Best player in the Championship last season. Runs games, scores goals....he's class. Change our manager first though, or we'll never attract players like him.
