In a busy day it has emerged that Cardiff had been looking at bringing in Marvin Emnes on loan from arch-rivals Swansea City.
Despite being linked with the Bluebirds’ Championship rivals Leeds, Emnes eventually stayed at Swansea. It was believed within the club that Emnes was more of a winger than the out-and-out striker Cardiff were actually looking for.

On his day he could be good at our level. Way too inconsistent and I wouldn't want him at the ccs.

So after a week or so of trying to get a Premier league striker on loan, Slade finally realised that he's actually a winger.
