Unfortunately our club has been a laughing stock for some years now and there's no sign of that changing any time soon.

What pisses me off is the lack of ambition. The poor football. Bring players to improve the team not average shitty players. Then again why would you want to play for Slade

Take a look around, all clubs go through hard times, in our division , Derby, ipswich,middlesborough, Sheffield wed, wolves, all struggled for years, all big clubs, but their fans have had to be patient. Some people need a reality check.

Reality check for us I agree, although cannot forgive the lack of ambition in our targets.
However, if you were presented with a club in the hands of a no show foreign owner, a clueless yes man for a manager, Scott young as your inept assistant yes man (FFS) and a coach in Trollope that is not wholly committed to Cardiff (one eye and half his thoughts already on France with Coleman) - what would you do.
Add to that a loyal fan base that will voice their opinions, and, a stadium that is less than half full (with no atmosphere) - what would you do!!!!!!
I'm sure that you would also be stringing us along as leverage to gain a deal with another club (aka Bridcutt). We get Ameobi in on loan and play him for the last ten minutes - creates a brilliant advert for us doesn't it!!!

Fair point. There could be several reasons:

For Marshall, Tan was probably asking for more than WBA thought he was worth. Although Marshall's excellent performances are likely to result in renewed interest.

Gunersson (rightly or wrongly) had lots of game time last season - not now.

Manga committed to the club which was a surprise. He has been injured but Slade has preferred Morrison even at times Manga was fit.

Rumours were that Norwich made a bid for Noone last January. Again he had loads of game time last season. Now a much more marginal figure.

Last season Kennedy was one of our best players. Now for what seems personal reasons, Slade won't select him.

Plus the players are going to be aware of the continued lack of ambition and loan outs.

So January is very different scenario to last summer. I hope Im wrong.

I am not surprised or disappointed as I have far more realistic expectations than many using this forum. I have said since day one that the target for this season is to maintain Championship status while cutting costs. That is the sole ambition of the club for the current season, and for those of you who still believe the spin that promotion was our target, you are going to be feeling very let down next May.
