Have been told the reason he was at the reading game was
because st mellons golf course was closed
this I heard from another golfer who plays there regularly with him
Bellamy has got his handicap down from 17 to 7 recently
just thoughtnyou might all like to know this
Thu Nov 26, 2015 8:50 am
also it is my opinion that if Bellamy was given the managers job
it would be a last throw of the dice to get the fans re united , by tan/choo/dalman
back to blue has not had the desired effect the club had hoped for in revenue terms and season ticket sales
the last time bellamy was here as a player shirt sales were massive and crowds increased
bellamy coming would definitely increase our gates and would surely get the players up for a fight
just my thoughts , whats yours?

I agree, I thought he may have been given an interim role until the end of the season with a view to becoming perm!
Would certainly add the pride and passion that's missing from the dressing room! He has worked and played with the best and would certainly be able to attract better players!

Certainly not saying you're wrong but from the photos we saw on this forum, it looked like he was invited to the game by Choo and not just turned up 'cos he couldn't play golf.

Do you know if the same applies to the Burnley game?
Thu Nov 26, 2015 9:11 am
We have seen some of the best footballers in the country fail to have any impact as managers, so until he actually gets into management we have no idea whether he will be a success or a flop. Not sure if a Chamionship club which has such high expecations from the fans would be the best place to learn your trade.

Agree with both posts. Bellamy would demand 100% from the players and I imagine they'd respond too. Crowds would definitely increase by a few thousand too.

Personally I dont believe he needs an invite to go to our games
just because hes seen in someones company doesnt mean he was invited by them
also im sure he has an open directors box seat if he wishes to attend matches
He commented (when asked if was going to be our next manager )that there was one man in his way
some believe he meant slade
im one of the ones who thought he meant vincent tan
im sure we will find out soon enough whos right

I didn't say he needed an invite to attend, I'm sure he can find his own way. I'm just saying what it may look like sat at a table with Choo.
Personally I think he means Slade is the one in the way but hopefully we'll find out sooner rather than later otherwise this season will just drag out with crowds and atmosphere getting slowly worse.

Unproven.
Ole was a good footballer, had good sway with the clubs, and was respected by the players. He came without the tantrums, ego and antics too.
Don't get me wrong, I think Bellamy would rise to the challenge and do pretty well. But lets be realistic. He is not a manager. He might not grasp the complexities beyond coaching. He may rub some good players up the wrong way and fail to get the best out of those who don't need a heavy handed manager.
I'm sure many of those calling for him to be in Slade's spot are dining on nostalgia.

If Bellamy was such a big fan of the club that has been claimed by many over the years, I'm surprised he is not like me and would have bought a season ticket to watch the Bluebirds ( wherever I have lived in the UK ).

What difference does it make who he supports. We all know he's a Liverpool fan, he's made no secret of that fact.
Was Fergie a Man Utd fan before he managed them, was Wenger an Arsenal fan, Klopp a Liverpool fan, Mourinho a Chelsea fan? I doubt it very much. Have any of the previous great, good and bad managers that have managed our club in recent history been Cardiff fans? Probably not.

- BELLAMY IN!

I like the idea of Bellamy as manager but its a massive gamble like Ole was.

You have missed the point of my post - I have not commented on whether I think Bellamy would be a good or poor Manager. My point is that time and again on here and elsewhere, it is stated that he has such a strong connection and support for the Bluebirds - if that was the case, I'm surprised that now he has retired, he isn't a season ticked holder. Hope this clarifies the point I was making.

My thoughts... There's no need to press the panic button and employ Bellamy now as he's hugely inexperienced, if we start loosing more games it won't make one bit of difference.
Make bellers part of the first team coaching squad and bring him in in a year or two
Thu Nov 26, 2015 11:34 am
Won't cost much to sack Slade and I doubt Bellamy will ask for much
Thu Nov 26, 2015 11:50 am
Getting him in to replace Young is probably the best move - I think he'd go for that as it's the right step before jumping head first into a manager role.
Unlikely to happen, but this is just hypothetical anyway.

Totally agree. I'm sure we all love Bellamy, for what he's done at Cardiff and being a local lad. But he is inexperienced. I have a feeling he would be an excellent manager but let him prove himself somewhere else before coming to us.

Replace Slade with Bellamy. Retire the 39 shirt to honor Bellamy and watch those shirts fly off the shelf.
Thu Nov 26, 2015 9:51 pm
I like Bellers, and I do believe he has a lot of what it takes to be a successful manager. However, he won't get involved until he is ready. He is a very driven, competitive character and he will want to be a success in management too. The last thing he's going to want to do in his first managerial role is work under an unpredictable and volatile owner. While tan is here I cannot see him taking the job.
Thu Nov 26, 2015 10:03 pm
I would take pudsy the bear over Slade he is killing the club along with the inactivity of Mr Tan. I hope Mamma Tan speaks out soon.

Plenty of time to get the handicap down - could be a good bet for The Open - Next Year
Last time Bellers was in the stands against Reading was .....REMEMBER

Retire the 39 shirt In honour of Bellamy? Honour what, exactly? The three seasons he's spent at the club during his entire career? We don't owe him nothing of the sort, and shouldn't be considered a cert for the job in the future.

My Honest Opinion its only a matter of Time before Bellamy will be Cardiff Manager
