Bruno Manga and Federico Macheda return to action as Cardiff City under-21s see off Watford

23 NOV 2015

The striker got himself on the scoresheet and the centre-back played an hour as he continues to come back from a groin injury

Bruno Manga and Federico Macheda will play on Tuesday

Striker Federico Macheda returned from long-term injury and scored what turned out to be the winner as Cardiff City’s development side beat their counterparts from Watford, 2-1.

The 24-year-old, who is returning after surgery on a back problem, slotted the ball home on 27 minutes after centre-half Semi Ajayi had headed the Bluebirds in front 11 minutes in. Macheda was taken off at half-time as he works his way back to fitness.

Despite Alex Jakubiak getting one back before half-time for the Hornets’ development side, who are coached by former Leeds star, Harry Kewell, Cardiff held on to return to winning ways after registering four defeats on the bounce previously.

Centre-half Bruno Manga also started for Cardiff as he returns to fitness following a groin injury picked up playing for Gabon.

Is Harry Kewell's wife there?

I could come out of retirement for her :ayatollah:

Hi Annis,
Good news.
Does he seem fit?
If he shows some passion he could be the answer for us

Do you think she would improve our midfield?

I am sure she would make some of the players run a lot faster. Whether that was in the right direction would be in doubt.

She would be better with a ball though :ayatollah:

She'd certainly make them easier to watch than of late.

This guy is lazy..gutless..wins nothing in the air..can't hold the ball up doesn't run the channels and shits out of EVERY 50/50 challenge

If you think he is the answer to our striker problems you are very very much mistaken

Will make a couple of substitute appearances achieve absolutely nothing...then get another "injury" and spend the rest of the season in the stands picking up a huge salary for doing f... All
