Judging by his defensive selections on performance I thought slade would stick with the winning formula.

But he changed it back to the team with a lopsided midfield that didn't score for record breaking time and surprise surprise what happens.

I really desperately want Slade to succeed because that means Cardiff City succeed. But if he thinks he can 0-0 his way to promotion then he is going to be sadly mistaken.

The lob-sided 4-4-2 by definition is self defeating as takes out an avenue of attack. Frankly if the 2 central midfielders can't hack it without the extra help then they shouldn't be anywhere near the club never mind the first team XI.

Please Mr Slade pick the players where they are most effective and not just for the sake of it.

When you look back through our results we do very well against 442 opposition. We struggle when we play a modern system. Derby played a 433 and we get mullered.

Luckily Burnley play a 442 so we may do pretty well.
