Will you renew your season ticket if ...

Sat Nov 21, 2015 10:03 pm

Mr Slade is given a contract extension. I can't boast of being on the Bob bank in 1963 with 5 fans in the pouring rain, but I've held a commitment by way of a season ticket for the last 12 years. I genuinely cannot commit to slades regime and negative football for another year. I don't hold him personally responsible because of course he would take the job, who wouldn't. But I personally cannot find the energy every week to follow this brand of crap. I can't do it

The problem is fans who have only supported the club for the last ten years or so have only seen relatively good times. A lot of us spent 20 years or so where we could only dream of being in the second division, and not only are we there but we are an established 2nd tier side who are not going to be fighting relegation. Despite what some people think, we are not a big club and are currently higher than where we have spent most of the last 50 years. The football may be poor, and we have a manager who is showing his limitations, but we are still doing well as far as our league position stands, and things have traditionally been much worse than they are now. I think fans need to accept that over the next 20 years we may see some more good times, but we are certainly going to see some seasons where we will be far worse and far lower down the league than we are now.

I've only had a ST for a couple of seasons (post premier league) so that I could go and spend time with my 10 year old son.

Im not a die hard but I've always hoped to grow into it becoming a passion. Unfortunately it hasn't for me or my boy under Slade. The football just isn't engaging and the players just don't seem to have any drive or commitment. So why should I?

I respect all you followers who have shown the commitment but as a "new" fan Im afraid that the club just hasn't delivered. The club is happy to take my money but doesn't seem to care. Until Slade and Tan depart, and I see a club that cares about its fans and local community, I won't be renewing my season ticket. Sorry fellas.

I have supported City for over 50 years, so yes I would renew, saying that I will never support Slade being our manager, he simply is not good enough
