" DECISION TIME FOR RUSSELL SLADE "

My opinion it has to be Ralls and Gunnarsson surely?

19/11/2015

Slade has a selection dilemma this weekend. Against Reading Cardiff looked a lot more balanced across the middle of the park with Aron Gunnarsson and Joe Ralls in the centre.

But that partnership was basically struck up as a result of Peter Whittingham being suspended for the clash with the Royals after picking up five yellow cards.

Russell Slade has to decide whether to reinstall Whittingham, a player he has shown incredible confidence in, or not fiddle with a winning team

Another Slade stalwart, Kagisho Dikgacoi, should also be available after injury, increasing those options.

Whittingham and Dikgacoi have been Slade’s first picks. Ralls and Gunnarsson hgave an energy and legs against Reading that was previously missing in the midfield.

So straight away Slade has a selection dilemma as he prepares his team for their moments of truth.

Many are tipping the Bluebirds to get frustratingly close to a play-off place this term, but to miss out by finishing just about where they are.

Defeats against Derby and Burnley might give even more credence to that point of view. A couple of positive results on the other hand and it will be game on for Slade and his

The old saying can't change a winning team, well most of the time. Gunners fell over the ball 3 times but he made up for it, is strong and was determined to get his shirt back. He has earned the next game at least, Ralls in the middle? Anything other than that would be ridiculous. New deal, his proper position. Go become a CCFC legend joe

Slade this season has said that he shouldn't change a winning team, I'd say he'll stick with the team that beat Reading.

Slade has so far picked Whittingham to start in every game for which he has been available.

I fully expect that to continue on Saturday.

He can pick all 3 if he changes his system and drops mason

Whittingham and Dikgacoi offer more experience. Seems to be a 'safe' option if you ask me.

But Ralls and Gunnarsson should definitely start. They're a lot younger too and can only get better. :thumbright:

Tough away game, I'd have Dikgacoi, Ralls and Gunnarsson.

It's beyond me how anyone could want Gunnarsson in rather than Digkacoi !!

Digkacoi has been the biggest difference in this team.

I am a Whitts fan but I think Ralls did enough in the Reading game to keep his place alongside Digkacoi.

Upfront I would play Jones and anyone other than Mason. Surely if we can't get a loanee in before tomorrow we should play 5 in midfield? That's my biggest criticism of Slade, he won't change tactics to suit the players he has available.

With Mason in there it's worse than playing with 10 men because he just gives the ball back to the opposition!

If Slade picks Whitts - it just proves he has NOT got a clue what he is doing.

The team looked so so much better with Ralls and Gunnarson last week, just a pity Saadi is injured - I'd then drop Mason to the bench.

this is why i think people should wait and see. Personally i would start with whitts sitting on the bench. But if he does come in, for either noone or Pilkington, i would wait to see where he plays first
