Good grief a great player who change wing play forever when he burst on the scene in the mid 1990's. I remember reading he suffered with kidney decease.

Really sad news for someone so young,he was only 40. One of the most influential rugby players of his generation.

I knew Jonah personally as his UK agent is a good friend of mine.
During one of his visits to Wales he called in to see me with a signed shirt.
A huge man with a huge presence, but a lovely lovely down to earth guy.
Rest in peace Big Fella

Every now and then an amazing player turns up in sport and he was one of them.A pleasure to watch but not to play against.
Even played for Cardiff Blues!Im sure I read somewhere he flew a tattooist from Cardiff/Barry area out to Dubai to have some ink done.

R.I.P.

Wales rugby legend Sir Gareth Edwards has said Jonah Lomu was 'a great man and a great player'.
The New Zealand rugby union player died unexpectedly on Tuesday, aged 40.
Lomu was diagnosed with a rare and serious kidney condition in 1996.
He played 10 games for Cardiff Blues in 2005 and 2006 shortly before retiring.
Speaking to BBC Radio Wales, Sir Gareth described Lomu as 'a phenomenon'.
