Germany vs Netherlands Match Evacuated And Cancelled After Planned Bomb Attack

​Tuesday night's friendly match between Germany and the Netherlands at the HDI Arena in Hannover has been cancelled, with police evacuating the stadium after a 'concrete' bomb threat.

The evacuation comes just days after the German team's match at the Stade de France was targeted as part of the devastating terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday evening.

German police have found no explosives and made no arrests in Hanover after a friendly soccer match between Germany and the Netherlands was canceled because of fears of a bomb attack, the Lower Saxony Interior Minister said on Tuesday.

"There have been no arrests so far. As for the question whether explosives were found, I can tell you that as for now, no," Boris Pistorius said during a news conference in the west German city.

Very disappointing. These are sensitive times, but surely the German police could have handled this. Just gives victory to the terrorists, even if it was a hoax.

Really iffy that when people are being slaughtered and bullets whizzing around their heads that somehow clubbers took cover fearing for their lives. Surely you would expect most of them to stand up and video everything on their mobiles in the hope of filming the bullet that kills them.
