NEW DEALS FOR OZIL AND SANCHEZ?

This could be big news for Arsenal!

According to ESPN, the Gunners are confident of agreeing new deals with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.

Ozil, who has been in fine for so far this season, has two-and-a-half years left to run on his current deal but Arsene Wenger is keen to extend his contract.

Sanchez moved to the Emirates Stadium in the summer of 2014 but reports suggest Arsenal have opened negotiations with both parties as they look to keep the star duo in north London.

INTEREST IN GRUJIC RAMPS UP?

Everton have joined the race to sign highly-rated Red Star Belgrade prospect Marko Grujic, reports the Daily Mail.

It is claimed Chelsea, Manchester United and City are all interested in the 18-year-old but Everton have already made enquiries for the player last month.

The club’s chief scout Kevin Reeves watched the midfielder play for Serbia U21s against Italy on Friday.

Celtic, Anderlecht, Stuttgart, Roma and Ajax were all reportedly watching as Grujic featured in the 1-1 draw.

ARSENAL TO BATTLE INTER FOR VLASIC?

Arsenal and Inter Milan are tracking Hajduk Split midfielder Nikola Vlasic, according to Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport.

Reports suggest Arsene Wenger is interested in signing the 18-year-old but faces competition from Inter, who have sent scouts to follow his progress.

MOYES TURNED DOWN JOB OFFERS

David Moyes has revealed he turned down a number of job opportunities in recent months before being sacked by Real Sociedad.

The former Everton and Manchester United manager said in a statement released by the League Managers Association (LMA) that he was "disappointed" not to be able to honour his contract, and felt the side would finish in a strong position in La Liga.

La Real are only outside the relegation zone on goal difference and a 2-0 defeat by Las Palmas earlier this month was their fourth in five league games.

Moyes said: "I am disappointed to have left Real Sociedad. When I accepted the job as manager of La Real last November, my remit was to avoid relegation and retain the club’s La Liga status. We succeeded in attaining that target and finished 12th in the table. I feel that we made significant progress last season; beating Barcelona in front of our home fans was a memorable highlight.

"Despite some positive performances from our team, results have not gone our way in recent weeks. However, I was confident we would finish in a strong position by the end of the season. I made a firm promise to Real Sociedad to honour my contract and it is disappointing not to be able to fulfil this commitment especially when I have turned down a number of job opportunities in recent months."

SAINTS LINKED WITH STRINIC

Southampton are keeping track of Napoli defender Ivan Strinic.

Calciomercato.com are claiming Ronald Koeman is keen on bring the 28-year-old to St. Mary’s but will face competition for his signature from Italy.

Inter and Sampdoria are reportedly interested in the Croatia star with the latter keen on a loan deal.

BANEGA A TARGET FOR EVERTON?

According to the Daily Mail, Everton have reignited their interest in Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega.

The Argentine is out of contract in the summer and is yet to agree a new deal at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.

David Moyes tried to sign the 27-year-old from Valencia in 2009 when the Scot was in charge at Goodison Park.

'ARSENAL SCOUTING NAPOLI STAR'

Arsenal are scouting Napoli midfielder Jorginho, according to the player’s agent.

"One of the head scouts of Arsenal is well-known, and so I know he was at Marassi for the Napoli match," Joao Santos told Radio CRC.

"If Napoli receive an irrefutable offer for Jorginho in January then it’s normal that we’d make our assessments."

Manchester United, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are also thought to be interested in the 23-year-old, who is valued at £22m.

XHAKA IN DEMAND

Liverpool will go head-to-head with Premier League rivals Arsenal to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka, reports German publications Bild.

According to reports, Jurgen Klopp wants to strengthen his midfield options and sees Xhaka as a perfect signing.

It is thought Borussia Monchengladbach will ask for £20m for the Switzerland international, whose contract does not run out until June 2019.
