Former Hull star Dean Windass has advised his son Josh to turn down a new contract at Accrington Stanley.
Josh Windass has been impressing with his performances in midfield for Accrington and has been linked with a move away from the Crown Ground, including a move to Hull.
"Josh has been doing really well at Accrington Stanley and was heavily linked with quite a few clubs in the papers last week, one of those being Hull," his father told the Hull Daily Mail. "He's been offered a new contract by Accrington and I have told him as his father to turn it down. His agent has said the same thing.
"Josh loves it at Accrington and he loves the dressing room environment there, which is important for a player, but unless Accrington turn down an offer for him in January, which I cannot see them doing, then he will be moving on."
