"I just want to play first team football"
Wales defender James Chester admits his hopes of playing at Euro 2016 are suffering from a lack of regular first-team football at West Brom.
Chester has made just one Premier League start since joining Albion from Hull City in the summer, coming on the opening weekend of the season against Manchester City.
"To be playing for Wales I have to start playing for my club because it's impossible to play at this level and not be playing week in, week out," Chester said.
"I know myself I need to be playing at my club to give me the best chance of going to France and playing when we get there.”

Dont need a centre back at all, but hope he gets a club and plays football ready for the summer

Oh god the messiah has spent a massive 8 million on a player and doesn't want to play him. When he does play it's out of position. All the things slade gets criticised for.

Why on earth should City sign another centreback?
I can't stand this whole "Cardiff should have more Welsh players" idea posters on this board seem to bang on about, especially when it's players like Chester who we don't need. One of the biggest legends in recent history is Scottish, who cares?

No, no, no. He needs to be playing in the Premier League, not the Championship. The Premier League will prepare him for the Euros, not the Championship.

He needs to be playing at a better level, he needs to be in the PL with a decent club and not snuffling around the championship, to get prepared properly for the Euros
