" WHERE IS THE NEW STRIKER? "

Just read this post from Tim aka Lawnmower and he makes some good points

I thought there would be a replacement lined up as soon as Revell went to Wigan, but it all seems to have gone quiet.

Just Jones if fit, Macheda ( still injured), out of form Mason, and Sammy athsma left .

Going to end up like Allerdyce's West Ham playing 4-6-0 the way things are going

And may I add I rate Kenwyne :thumbright: , but hes not always guaranteed as he's in and out of the team with injuries.

There all for sale now we are safe didn't tan tell you :laughing6:

Cost cutting is going abit far if we left with only a few strikers.

Ian, Ive been saying it for well over a year,Tan is stripping the club, lost total interest with his toy and getting all the money back he was suppose to have given City.

I was at the club meeting where it was promised Tan would make us Debt Free and give the club £100mill

We are 4 years later still waiting to be Debt Free? ? ?

Kenwyne will get tight hamstrings from sitting in the economy seats on the flight back this week. He will be a doubt for Derby for sure :ayatollah:

Think it will be Mason on his own up front if that's the case with 5 man midfield. :sladeout:

U mugs didn't want revell playing anyway so why would u want to replace someone u didn't want anyway

Re: " WHERE IS THE NEW STRIKER? "

I feel so much more positive when Kenwyne starts, compared to when he's out.

It'll soon be time to start loaning out our best players to some of the teams pushing for promotion.

Marshall to Derby on loan perhaps?

Doubt very much there will be anyone new coming in but with wages and playing budget being cut at least the debt should be coming down.

At Leeds I was amazed to see how many coaching staff there were lined up at the side of the pitch before the game started - what the hell do they all do?

Perhaps cutting back on some of the coaching staff could save some money?

I don't expect any movement until later tho week.
Despite us knowing that Revell is useless we could be in a pretty desperate situation Saturday. I doubt that Jones will start, even if fit and surely Slade will not break a habit of a lifetime and play 1, out of form striker up top.
My feeling is the Revell transfer was arranged before Saadi did his hamstring. There surely has to be a plan B. Is Machida ready to come back? Whichever way you look at it, if Slade does nor bring in a loan this week, his budget has been tightened like a noose and the hierarchy will he happy with mid table this year.

Loan window shuts in ten days. Honestly if we don't get someone in it doesn't matter, hopefully dive into bringing a youth into the squad

It's easier said than done for the debt to be cleared it didn't take Fernandez 5 minutes to do it I think it will be done very soon I hope.

"Boss, i need better strikers to make a push"

Tan - "You know the deal, you need to get the wage bill down. The previous two clowns bought and paid players far beyond their real value, sorry send someone out and make sure you get some bucks out of it"

"Wigan want Revell, may even lead to a firm transfer"

Tan - " Great, the fans really hate Revell according to a message board i sometime read"

"Jelavic needs game time so West Ham can try to move him out at the next window, their willing to pay most of his wages"

Tan "Jelavic for Revell wages, go for it"

Love that! LOL

Imagine if Tan DID read this Forum!

Seems we want it all at the CCS...Tan gone; Tan to clear the debt; Tan to spend money on players; Tan to have the 'Trust' on his Board (even though they cannot even agree amongst themselves)

I'm afraid I sometimes (often) think that we as fans have messed up as much as Tan in the last few years and lessons simply don't get learned!

Annis you lament Tan for not converting debt to equity but want us to bring in a new striker?

Slade "Boss, I need better strikers to make a push"

Tan "Hang on a second Russ one of my hundreds of children is on his Xbox"

A minute later,

Tan "No problem Russ, we've discovered a gem who's banging them in in division 4 of the Albanian League. I'll just run him past the transfer committee"

A second later,

"I've decided....I mean the committe has decided to get him as he'll only cost 50p to loan so I've told Choo to go get him for you Russ. Now don't forget to tell the media at every opportunity how you're being fully supported by the owner and you have my...I mean our, full backing"

Slade "Amazingly, Wigan have agreed to take Revell off our hands and may even want to buy him."

Tan" According to a website I sometimes read the fans really hate Revell - almost as much as they hate me which in turn is almost as much as I hate them."

I saw the striker and midfielder we need playing at our stadium on Friday night and both available on loan in January? Lawrence and Emyr Huw and they are Both Welsh?

Re: " WHERE IS THE NEW STRIKER? "

Sun Nov 15, 2015 4:37 pm

Remember seeing Lawrence play for Rotherham v City last year. Loads of movement but not much end product. Could be a good foil for Kenwyne, but I hope we would not have another Revell on our hands.

Re: " WHERE IS THE NEW STRIKER? "

Honestly thought something was lined up, otherwise why let Revell go.

IMHO we are only 1-2 players away from being a decent side.
Surely things aren't that bad that we had to move Revell on to save a few grand a week ?

seems strange letting him goes unless machdea is on the mend

I think Macheda will be ready very soon, but given Saadi is out it still leaves us short of options, also bear in mind Jones, Ameobi and Machedas rubbish fitness levels and Mason's dip in form

Re: " WHERE IS THE NEW STRIKER? "

Revert back to a 451 in my opinion, Jones up front, Whits gunnars and ralls in the middle, Noone and Pilks on the wings, could make for a really good attacking side
