OWLS FANCY RHODES
15/11/2015
Sheffield Wednesday will look to make an ambitious move for Blackburn striker Jordan Rhodes, according to the Daily Mirror.
Middlesbrough failed in a £14m bid to land the striker in the summer but Wednesday, who are backed by Thai owner Dejphon Chansiri, are ready to smash their transfer record to complete a deal for Rhodes.
The Owls, who will look to make the 25-year-old the highest paid player outside the Premier League, also hope the fact Rhodes' father Andy is already on the Hillsborough coaching staff will help get the deal over the line.

NOV 15, 2015 CHAMPIONSHIP
Championship club Sheffield Wednesday are lining up a club record bid for Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes, according to the Daily Mirror.
The ambitious Owls reportedly want the 25-year-old front man to help spearhead their attack in a bid to make a play-off challenge during the second part of the season.
The Owls’ Portuguese coach Carlos Carvalhal has already been well backed by the club’s Thai owner, Dejphon Chansiri, and it appears that the green light has already been given to capture Rhodes for around £12m.
Rivals Middlesbrough are also still believed to be interested in the former Huddersfield striker – who has eight goals to his name already this season – despite reportedly having a £14m bid rejected by Blackburn in the summer.
However, any potential move away from Ewood Park could very well hinge on who takes over the vacant managerial position.
Wednesday currently sit in 9th place in the Championship table – just four points off the play-off places having lost only one of their previous ten games, and only last month comprehensively knocked a strong Arsenal side out of the League Cup.

Didn't Blackburn come out and say that NO bid came in from Middlesbrough?
Not quite sure he's a 10million plus striker, definitely better out there.

If Rhodes is so good, why, at the age of 25, isn't he playing in the Premier League? It can't just be money. Does he have any skeletons in his cupboard?
