GOUFFRAN TO CHARLTON?

Charlton are reportedly weighing up a move for Newcastle United winger Yoan Gouffran, according to Chronicle Live.

The Magpies are said to be willing to release several of their fringe players on loan deals before the emergency deadline period ends on November 25.

Charlton caretaker boss Karel Fraeye has been active in the transfer market, bringing in former West Ham forward Ricardo Vaz Te.

DEMICHELIS MAY QUIT CITY

Out-of-favour Man City centre-back Martin Demichelis may leave Eastlands when the transfer window reopens for business in January, reports ESPN.

And the Argentinian could return to his homeland to play for Rosario Central if he does decide to quit the club in the new year.

RED DEVILS KEEN ON SAINTS DUO

Man Utd are set to swoop for Southampton pair Sadio Mane and Graziano Pelle, according to reports in the Daily Telegraph.

Mane has a contract at St Mary's that runs until June 2018, while Pelle is tied down to the Saints until the summer of 2017.

GUNNERS EYE MAGPIES FORWARD

Arsenal have joined the race to sign Newcastle forward Ayoze Perez, says Fichajes.net.

However, the Gunners must compete with both Man Utd and Spurs for the Spaniard's signature.

The 22-year-old has a contract at St James' Park that runs until the summer of 2019.

O'NEILL WANTS LAFFERTY LOAN

Northern Ireland boss Michael O'Neill hopes Kyle Lafferty secures a loan move away from Norwich to get more playing time.

Asked if he had discussed a move to Leeds with the striker, O'Neill said: "I've had absolutely no involvement in that at all, but the most important thing for me is that Kyle gets playing.

"It's a hard situation. It's November now and he hasn't started a game for his club. That's not an easy situation to deal with."

SAMP TO MOVE FOR MONTELLA

Sampdoria are set to name Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella as their new coach, says Gazzetta dello Sport.

Samp, who sacked Walter Zenga on Monday, will pay La Viola €2m in order to lure the former Italy international to Genoa, with Montella expected to put pen to paper on a deal until 2018.

REAL KEEN ON €35M SEVILLA STAR

Real president Florentino Perez has enquired about Sevilla winger Yevhen Konoplyanka, reports Television Espanola.

Konoplyanka was Sevilla’s standout player during their impressive 3-2 victory over Madrid last weekend.

His display caught the eye of Perez, who asked a senior Sevilla figure about the Ukraine international’s release clause fee during the match.

Konoplyanka, who was previously on the radar of Liverpool, Spurs and Stoke, joined Sevilla on a four-year contract in July after the expiry of his contract at former club Dnipro.

His contract contains a €35m buyout clause.

BUSQUETS GOING NOWHERE

Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets insists he has never considered leaving the Camp Nou to head for England, despite revealing his admiration for the Premier League.

Busquets, who is widely regarded as the world’s finest defensive midfielder, came through the ranks at Barca and has spent his entire senior career in Catalonia.

A number of Premier League clubs have been linked with him in the past, but he says the prospect of leaving Barcelona has “never crossed” his mind.

“I don’t deny the Premier League and its atmosphere attracts me, but it’s never crossed my mind to change to another club. I feel loved and valued at Barcelona,” he told the Royal Spanish Football Federation’s monthly publication.

JUVE WANT GUNDOGAN

Juventus are interested in Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, according to Tuttosport.

Gundogan was previously targeted by Barcelona, but last season’s other Champions League finalists are on his trail now too as they look for someone to fill the deep-lying playmaker berth which was occupied by the departed Andrea Pirlo.

Manager Massimiliano Allegri does not feel that Hernanes or Sami Khedira, who arrived in Turin during the summer, are suited to performing Pirlo’s role and he has reportedly asked senior club figures to bring Gundogan in.

Tuttosport reports that Beppe Marotta, Juve’s managing director, is willing to bid between €20m and €25m for Gundogan, although it is unlikely Dortmund will accept an offer of that value.

JUVE TARGET NASRI

Juventus are lining up a move for Man City midfielder Samir Nasri, claim both Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport.

According to the Italian sports dailies, Nasri - who has a contract at City until the summer of 2019 - is keen to leave Eastlands.
However, the 29-year-old Frenchman would have take a pay cut in order to join the Serie A champions next year.

BECKHAM BACKS RON RETURN

David Beckham has urged Cristiano Ronaldo to choose Man Utd should he ever elect to leave Real Madrid.

"Cristiano is such a fans' favourite at United, he was so successful, such a hard worker. Everyone you talk to [says] he's not just one of the most talented players in the game, he's a hard worker as well.
"If he decides to leave Real Madrid then for me personally it's back to United. I never had the opportunity to do so - but I'm proud of the teams I played for after United."
