Despite his power and pace, he was never really a consistent goalscorer in the top-flight and that possibly explains why he’s bounced from club to club and currently appears in the second-tier.
But, very occasionally, Jones shows a Didier Drogba-like approach to playing up front – and he did that today as he produced a gobsmacking volley in Trinidad’s 2-1 win over Guatemala.
We should probably stop talking about it and show Jones doing one incredible un-Jones-like thing:
