Quite a few players are playing well for their country at the minute but not for their clubs. He will never be prolific

He played well for them against us at there place last year.
Very aggressive, he's a real handful.
Not sure if he's the sort of influence you'd want in your dressing room mind

He would be a really good signing in my opinion. He is very similar to Revell, in the way he plays the game. But Lafferty is on another level altogether than Revell when it comes to footballing ability. Unlike Revell, Lafferty knows where the back of the net is. If we can get him in on loan for the season and he is given a decent run of games, then he could do the business for us. I do think that he could regain the sort of goalscoring form that he was showing at Burnley, before he left them. However, I feel that Lafferty is much more of a target man type of striker and we already have the best Target man striker in the division, in Kenwyne Jones. I feel that we need to be looking for front men, that have pace, that put their chances away, that can create space and chances for his strike partner and a front man that can be the perfect foil for Jones, by being the little man in the big man-little man combination. I'm gutted that Idriss Saddi/Saadi is injured and out for over a month, as I have high hopes for these two as a striker partnership. I really do think that when Idriss is fit from injury and he is match fit, then these two will - in my opinion - become a lethal partnership. I hope that when Idriss is fit and ready that Slade doesn't stick with Mason partnering Jones, cause in my opinion Mason isn't good enough, he's not quick enough, he doesn't work hard enough, he is far too weak and although he is a good finisher, he wastes a lot of the chances that he gets. Knowing what the current manager's history is like and what he does with quality players, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest, if Idriss was only used as an impact sub for the rest of the season. Then Mason, Macheda and even Revell - when he comes back - get more starts than him. Then at the end of the season Revell and Macheda get given new contracts and Idriss gets released. Then either a Top Championship side or a French Ligue 1 side, pick him up on a free transfer and he bangs in 20 plus goals in his first season for them. Stranger things have happened, certainly at this football club.
