" Unfair criticism " I spoke to the players

Wed Nov 11, 2015 12:30 pm

Was also speaking with Ralls and Pilks this morning, they feel the criticism the players and Slade were coming under during them 5 games was unfair. Said they were poor but not getting spanked, we're keeping clean sheets and considering it was such a bad spell even picked up points.

We all let emotions rule and hearing a players perspective of it was interesting, he does have a valid point. Do you agree? I think sometimes fans get frustrated, especially with the poor football we have been watching. He also said expectation levels rose due to the good start.

Marshall said the same last week.

They were useless during the whole of that run.

These players need to take a look at the performances they have been putting in and acknowledging that it's not good enough and then work hard to improve, not moan because they have come in for some well merited criticism.

We always support them and they should realise that we want to be able to congratulate them on good hardworking performances but when they perform in the way they have been performing recently, for whatever reason, they are going to get criticised.

And that includes the manager.

Difference is they get paid to play we have to pay to watch it and its rubbish

A bad run, where we still picked up points is surely a positive because as a few key players are coming back from injury we should pick up steam. Massive knee jerk reaction from the moaners over a few dull games.

It's unlikely players will criticise anything if they're being looking after; they won't want to rock the boat. I'd take their comments with a pinch of salt.

When you get btwn 5-20000 per week whether you perform great or crap, then you can expect criticism :sladeout:

If you performed crap and didn't get paid then people could relate to that :sladeout:
