UPDATED ' Idriss Saadi '

Mon Nov 09, 2015 5:13 pm

Updated 10/11/15

Cardiff City striker Idriss Saadi is out for 6 weeks with a hamstring injury, it seemed earlier everything was ok & there was no worry but now scans suggest it's bad news and the striker has suffered a tear to the right hamstring and will be out of action for 6 weeks

Updated

Scan on hamstring injury which happened on Saturday, waiting for the result.

Idriss Saadi will receive results of a MRI scan tonight. Unsure whether this is related to his previous knee injury or hamstring.

Hes had a scan and just waiting for the result on his hamstring injury sustained on Saturday.

I thought that, he looked to me like he was limping in injury time but nobody else seems to have seen this.

Looked good in the glimpses we saw, to early to make an opinion on him though

Madness putting him in, hindsight yes but we were being told he would play over the international break then he comes on to a heavy pitch high tempo game. Not sure about this, hope he is ok as hamstrings are a nightmare and take time. 12 days nothing.

Gareth, Slade himself had previously said that he was not ready and he need more time, this was bad management.

I think there was more to it than that, I really do especially with our lack of goals and poor performances. If he's not ready he's not ready and he looks like he could be just what we need.

Panic move by Slade, given the media and fans turning on him after the Leeds defeat. Criminal, if it's caused further injury to Saadi.

Now you all no me
And I've given up on slade
After the Leeds debacle I have seen enough
But come on guys ffs
Are you seriously suggesting that slade has fu..ed up by giving siaidi a runout
He must of been ready or he would not have been on the bench
If you want to blame anyone at least blame the right people
Medics / coaches /science analŷsyst etc and siaidi himself would have advised slade he was ready
I still would like slade replaced but let's not give him stick where it's not deserved
Time a few on the board stopped having ago for having ago sake
Stuff the hits agenda ,get this board back to where it once was :sladeout: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

1. Pretty sure Slade would have taken the advice of his medical team.
2. Not the first player to pull a hamstring almost straight away in first game back.
3. Hamstrings are notoriously difficult injuries to manage. Even top clubs and top class players get recurring hamstrings.
4. Conclusion - more likely to be bad luck than bad management.

Obvious that he was injured towards end of the game, looked like he did it during his attempt on goal.

was encouraged to stay on by physio as only minutes remaining but rushed off for treatment at the end - hope it is nothing too serious as does seem to have potential

A few minutes after his attempt on goal he chased a loose ball upfield to the left touchline. He stretched to win the ball which he dinked past the defender and played infield and almost immediately his hand went to his hamstring. For the last couple of minutes of normal time and the full five minutes of injury time he was walking and lightly jogging around the pitch. He went close to the touchline near the dug out and stayed close by until the final whistle.
I commented to friends around me as soon as he did it, but most people had been watching the ball come inside and did'nt see it - I was keeping a keen eye on him as it was his first run out and so spotted exactly when it happened.

Just bad luck and the sort of niggling injury that players seem to get when coming back from a longer more serious layoff. Can't blame Slade for this at all.

I want slade out now as you well know
But knocking him continuously for things that are not his fault just makes you look rather foolish I for one would not knock him for something he has no control over ,like some do
On a different topic I bet you wish you never posted that Facebook post earlier about the poppy costs etc :sladeout: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Re: UPDATED ' Great news on Idriss Saadi '

They said 9 weeks and it was after that time he got played.

frustrating that people on here are moaning how long it took to get him a game and now appalled that he may have been given a run out when not ready!!!!

you couldnt make this stuff up.

I'm all for a dig when required (whether its Tan (who I am not happy with), Russ, the players etc) but treat it on merit rather than an agenda.

Having an agenda (like Brownie v the welsh or the airport etc), demeans all debate or argument from that person in my opinion.
