Slade can’t afford to worry about is Kenwyne Jones going away for 10 days to play for his country.

That’s football! Yes, he’s just got him fit after he came back injured from the last international break and we all know he’s needed at Cardiff but to Kenwyne, this is a massive deal.

' Pride and Passion '

He’s going to play in two World Cup qualifiers and he would never want to let his country down by staying in Cardiff.

He’s representing Trinidad and Tobago and I know most players value that higher than playing for any club.

Just imagine the outcry if Aaron Ramsey came out and said playing for Arsenal was more important than playing for Wales! It’s the same for Kenwyne in Trinidad.



He could get injured just as easily training down the Vale, so everybody has to hope he comes back fit and firing because Cardiff City need him more than ever.

Without Kenwyne and Marshall they would have big problems, as the Reading game showed, because at it’s most basic level, one of them scores goals while the other stops them.

That said, it’s nice to see Slade finally has some options.

yes, I think the fans now understand what Kenwyne is. I used to berate him for the lack of effort, but now I understand him more, he can do whatever he wants. The guy is quality in the air, strong as an Ox and can finish. City fans, let the man just get on with it!

Forget about the other parts of the game, Kenwyne doesn't press defenders and now I don't expect him to, Cardiff must give this guy decent service and the goals come.
