Saadi yesterday/injury

Sun Nov 08, 2015 1:02 pm

Looked sharp yesterday and looked to have pace and power and had a great shot saved by their keeper, the way he got that shot off was very good technically and looked class, revell jones or mason cant strike a ball like that and if kept fit saadi could be some player for us imo.

Anyone got any info yet on him maybe tweaking his hamstring yesterday, is he injured again or ok?

From what I saw of him, if he stays fit, he could be a great player for us. Would keep Mason far away from the team.

As he walked off he seemed to be complaining that his hamstring was sore.

He wasnt limping so maybe just a bit tight. From what I saw - he looked good - strong, powerful, quick and was aware of the ball as well as chasing it down. So he definitely looks promising - cant wait to see him have a few games up front with Jones - maybe we have found a strike force at last - with cameo appearances form Ameobi

That's what I saw. He went over to what I assume was a doctor / physio (rubber gloves) who smiled at him and shook his hand. Then Saadi walked off (not appearing to limp imho) but stroking his right hamstring. I know this as I was watching closely :ugeek:

It's just a little tight hamstring he should be more fit to play at Derby in 2 weeks. :thumbright: :ayatollah:

Hope your right. Id be tempted to play Jones up front on his own with Nooone and pilkington wide at Derby. Rush setting us up for a more defensive display (for a point) and giving our boy another week and unleash him against Burnley.

We keep the same team for Derby but bring in Saadi for Mason. :ayatollah:

I really can't see Saadi starting against Derby, he has just recovered from a serious injury and the associated niggling injuries that often follow from the severe initial damage to a joint. He needs to build up game time and not rush back too quickly to avoid another setback.

He looks like a very good acquisition, it is important his fitness issues are dealt with sensibly by the club. He isn't look fully conditioned yesterday and that will take time. I hope he gets some further game time during the international break at development level or a reserve game behind closed doors.

with how useless mason has been recently i think i would give macheda a run of games when hes back.

Dont think we will see Saadi start a game for a while yet

Jones can't play on his own at the front. No movement, pace and he's lazy. Saadi looked as if he could perform this role in future, which is promising.
