An uncanny coincidence? Possibly. But one of the main talking points after the game was the news that Craig Bellamy had been wined and dined by the Cardiff hierarchy at the Reading match.


That came with Russell Slade under intense pressure and scrutiny from Bluebirds fans... and just a couple of days after former Cardiff idol Jay Bothroyd had called for Bellamy to become manager to revive an ailing team.

We know that Chairman Dalman and Ken Choo are big fans of Bellamy and are they are not Slades favourite fans

We know that Vincent Tan is a massive fan of Bellamy's ,but Tan chose Slade as manager.

Ive been told,One because Bells is such a big name,a hero too many and has been so successful.

You never know it might just sway Tan?

But after speaking to Bells, I dont believe he's a fan of Tans

Has sLade been brought in short term to stabilise the dressing room and finances?

Now Bellamy has his badges and we are in a steady position is CB being lined up?

Or could it be he's an influential ex player etc?

Too much speculation about this. I spoke to him yesterday for a good five minutes and he was merely invited by Choo to watch the game, he's not even sure if he wants to be a manger.

Maybe its a shot across the bow for Slade him being there.

Come in as a number two, and thn slide Slade upstairs as a director of football till the end of his contract I would imagine. He won't be ready to start as a Manager straight away, so they will probably ease him in and see how he goes..........

Because I think the fans are so desperate to get rid of Slade that if there is even a sniff at even a change be it Bellers or Scooby Doo they or we will just dream and hope. Would Bellers be the answer ? Hell I don't know and by what you say Bellers don't know either. Maybe if he is to go into management then a lower Club would be the best start not this one as the pressure would be massive due to his connections with the Club, and the fact his last few months here was awful and we didn't part on the best of terms. He was touted as our Messiah but all he did was give us the wankers sign. The fans won't forget that unless he did become the Messiah as a manager then we all have bad memories

Personally in my own opinion - I think perhaps Tan's thinking is that if he appoints 'fans favourite' local hero etc etc Bellamy - it will get Tan back on board and seen as a popular appointment - and may hopefully lead to bigger crowds and more attractive football - thats if he gets offered a job that involves the first team etc

Bellamy would also be keen to sort the academy out and would be big on giving youth a chance imo. Tan would like this too.

Slade won't be going anywhere for a while. He is doing exactly what Tan brought him in to do, and is not costing the club much money. I guess any time we see a name at the CCS, there will be speculation in the same way that we were linked with virtually every professional football in the game earlier in the year.

No. He was never Cardiff fan. Other players took the piss, like Fraizer Campbell....soon as he left he said the red was a disaster. Bellamy made that comment about pink shirts coz he genuinely didn't care.

Bellamy said on Claire Balding show he wouldnt work for Tan.

He was heard by many at a High School awards night saying Tan still picks teams and makrs signings.

Personally I'd rather see Bellamy brought into the first team coaching staff as a striking coach for example, and then let slade go early in the summer and then either give Bellamy a chance or bring someone in. This way his integration would be easier and would help players like Saadi out no end, Bellamy was a very clever striker!

Something is without doubt going down anybody who can't see that is deluded! He is not going to come out and say what they discussed. what it was about we don't know right now and might never know. So CArdiff City fans who do you want as manager when the position is available. Already bellers has his doubters and he hasn't even got the job. Personally would love him here, not perfect and of course a risk. He does however have passion and desire and says it how it is

Met him once (not the most pleasant of experiences) and he was up Tan's arse big time!
