Kenwyne Jones returned to the Cardiff team with a bang - well a goal in fact! But now he will head to North America for 10 days as he attempts to lead his country to the 2018 World Cup
Kenwyne Jones has added some spark to Russell Slade's team
"I'd rather Kenwyne Jones stay in Cardiff."
That was the view of delighted Bluebirds boss Russell Slade as he sent the fans into another international break with smiles on their faces.
Cardiff City's star striker, who got injured against Nicaragua last time he went to play for his country Trinidad and Tobago, is expected to join up with the Soca Warriors again next week as they play Guatemala and USA in World Cup qualifiers.
The Bluebirds boss said: "I expect him to go away for ten days now but if I was to be selfish then I’d rather him stay.”
Jones burst back onto the Bluebirds scene with a goal in his first start in more than a month and his aerial presence was a constant thorn in the side of the Reading defence who fell to two headed set-piece goals at the Cardiff City Stadium.
