I work for MLC (Meat And Livestock Commission) and that process involves gas that will render the pig unconscious before they get bled out. The goads they use are to get the pigs to move and it's a little electric shock that just stings it doesn't hurt.

It looks worse cos they make noises. If you're not in the industry then you might think it's terrible but I can tell you now that's a perfectly normal process. I've not watched it all the way through just had a quick look to see the process, that process is used in this country too but most use the stun kill method that uses a massive shock to kill instantly.

I know it looks worse to people that haven't seen that process before but in abattoir's up and down the country it uses one of three aggreed industry methods to humainly kill sheep/pigs/cattle. We (MLC) and the (FSA) Food Standerd Agancy are there to see the process through along with government appointed Vets who are there to make sure they can get killed and are fit for human consumption.

I hope I've explained it clearly enough, if you're not in the industry then it will look worse of course it would.

It could be worse, David Cameron could have been trying to stick his cock in it's mouth.

God knows why I posted this at 5am

Ye I think it was the fact I hadn't seen the process before and the screaming certainly does not help.
