The future looks bright for Welsh football as young guns secure second successive Victory Shield title

Wales’ football future continues to burn bright after the next generation of Gareth Bales and Aaron Ramsey won the prestigious Victory Shield.

And it marks the second successive year the cream of teenage talent in the country has won the Under 16 annual Under 16 tournament staged between the home nations ...having not won the competition in 66 years before that.

Wales defeated Northern Ireland with a 3-1 win at Dragon Park, the national football development centre in Newport, with Cardiff City prospect Rabbi Matonda getting the crucial breakthrough inside the last ten minutes.
