As Cardiff City aim to end their goal drought against Reading, Russell Slade admits the return of his star striker is a 'massive boost'
Kenwyne Jones should be back for Cardiff City
Cardiff City boss Russell Slade looks set to thrust star striker Kenwyne Jones back into his starting side as he desperately seeks to end the Bluebirds’ remarkable goal drought.
Slade and his men entertain Reading in the Championship this weekend hoping to find the net for the first time after nearly a staggering nine hours of football.
Slade on...Kenwyne Jones
06/11/15
He’s in our plans. He got 25 minutes on Tuesday and that’s set him up.
Let’s see how he comes through. He could be ready to start against Reading.
It’s massive to get a player like him back fit again.
It gives us options and choices, whether from the start or during the game.
We need more options. You need a different kind of threat sometimes.
We’ve not had enough of that because we’re limited in terms of forwards available.

"We're limited in terms of forwards available"
That's because you've loaned most of them out you clueless idiot.

insisting on playing 2 strikers when you are missing Jones. No sympathy

He doesn't help himself

Dont worry revell is on the bench jones starts

Kenwyne has got to start,he's not the kind of player to come on full of energy and make a big impact. He should play for at least 70 minutes, where he's got a chance of scoring. He should try Ameobi behind him and put Mason on the bench and Revell on the local park bench.

But then you are someone who talks sense, something that our manager seems to lack in abundance (or he's being told by Tan to p:ss us all off on purpose).

Although there should be some excitement in one respect tomorrow. That is to watch Marshall pull off some class saves whilst our team sits back. Hang on Im turning into a glass half full person

Don't want to defend him, but our last manager spunked a shedload of cash on too many players. Do you think Jones and macheda are on average champioship salaries ?
ALF and Doyle had to go to get them off the wage bill and healy need gametime. I bet in anyone came in for Jones, macheda, Mason,Noone or Alf they would have been sold, but the deal they get here would mean we would have to pay them off, so whats the point.
I want him gone, but his hands are firmly tied. Ole and Dalman have a lot to answer for............

Russy's philosophy: ''If they're good I give 'em away! I don't want any namby pamby Primadonna who thinks he's better than me here. If it were good enough for me dad, then its good enough for me!''

Jones will start I think. It will be interesting to see if slade finally reacts tactically.

With Slade's proven tactical awareness and total football philosophy he will pick O'Keefe over Kennedy. Still what do we know, we're only the loyal supporters

This is the worse group of forwards we have had in our squad for some time.
