" SO RUSSELL SLADE? "

So Russell Slade after 50 games in charge of Cardiff City what do you think?

Slade still has to win over doubting fans and show he can be the right manager for the Bluebirds.

Games 50
Wins 19
Draws 14
Defeats 17
Win percentage: 38.58%
Goals scored: 62
Goals conceded 62
Goal difference 0

He has done what I expected him to do when we signed him up, win some, lose some ,draw some.

I don't buy the notion he steadied the ship, I never though for a second that Solskjaer would have got us relegated. Yes Slade had a lot to sort out with getting the high earners off the books but lets be honest most were begging to leave  . Lets be brutally honest here though he has underachieved with the squad he has, some of his decisions are questionable and I still havn't forgot about THAT interview where he threw the toys out of the pram and clearly showed himself as being out of his depth.

Totally agree with you and surely his job is to coach the team to play attractive winning football , an accountant could have sorted the books out

Loses 34% of his games. 1.2 goals per game
Tan said give him a chance, I think we have, now it's time to try something else.

I am still convinced he was brought in to keep us in the Championship while running costs were being slashed, and that was it as far as Tan was concerned. I said before the season started that providing we are not in the bottom 3 at the end of the season Tan will be satisfied. We are paying the price for daring to criticise the almighty Tan, and putting pressure on him when he changed our colours. Slade could never take the club forward, and I don't think Tan thought he could either. He is doing what he was employed to do, and I think Tan has lost interest in Cardiff as he realises that not all the fans will bow in his presence, and a lot of us have the cheek to question his decisions. The main problem lies higher up than just Slade.

He was brought in to trim the squad and keep us up.

He did that so hats off to the bloke.

However, I think many of us could have done that and still managed to play a brand of football which wasn't so dull, lethargic, miserable and one dimensional. Honestly I don't think I remember there ever being a time when the play was so predictable and dull. Even in the dungeon years there would be some hope that someone might have some kind of spark and we could score a goal or get excited about something....

with Slade.... nothing. The fact he highlighted ONE move involving 4 players and a failed Joe Mason chance suggested his idea of exciting football is no where near the expectations of the rest of us.

Slade has to go and someone who can bring some energy, creativity and excitement to the team must be brought in.

We could ALL see we lacked pace and creativity in the side and yet he did nothing to address this.

Signings.... generally useless and many of Slades players cant get a game. His favoured players, like Revell, should be nowhere near a championship squad.

Ameobi is not being played correctly and will sadly become the target for boo boys but he needs to be playing more and in the right position.

Slades ideas are older than and more extinct dinosaurs.

Not a fan.

Enough is enough, sack him

Started well when he came here but and got us back to basics but we didn't move on from it , decision making throughout has been odd. Its all about opinions but ive disagreed with any managers actions as much as his.

It is time for him to go, it is no wonder fans are leaving in droves, I have been a supporter for nearly 60 years, but lately I am not having any enjoyment watching city play, and I am sitting there hoping the match will end soon, so that I can go home. Perhaps its because I am getting older, because we have had loads of terrible performances over the years, but I have never felt like this before. Trollope has done a good job with coaching , but Slade picks the team and tactics, I mean to say why play Noone on the right where teams know he is going to cut inside, play him on the left where he can beat a man and then cross immediately.
Time for a change.

He is just an average guy, done Tan's dirty work, played shit football, apart from the start of this season, so why have we gone back to useless again, although when he first arrived he did have a decent start, I have tried to keep the faith but as nice as he may be, he needs to go NOW!!!! :ayatollah:

I don't think we played good football at the start of the season it was just an improvement on what we played last season, the football under slade is absolutely dire to watch and will turn floating fans away for the best interests of the club he needs to go :sladeout:

Suppose you call it an improvement, anything was better than last season, and we do need to play good attacting football and maybe the floaters will start coming back :ayatollah:

Too true but as I was once told "Common things occur commonly "

I totally agree with the fans slade may be a good div 1 or 2 manager but he is not a championship manager and will never take Cardiff to the premiership. We will not even make the playoffs, if we do we have no chance of getting to Wembley. Having sop ported Cardiff for many years been to Wembley 4 times with them, please vt feel the passion of the fans and bring in a passionate manager, not one that stands on the sideline with his arms folded.

I feel very much the same after 48 years watching the city! I never ever thought I'd feel this way but i do! Maybe it's because we're owned by someone who just doesn't care and is not interested! The Manager is uninspiring and darn right boring too! The club needs a huge lift to get supporters on board again!

DJ was hardly a passionate manager, but he did get us to Wembly.I will support the Bluebirds whatever, but we need a manager with tactical awareness who can get the best out of our players....that isn't Slade. I'd like to see someone like Hasselbaink.
